Great Southern Pram Push

Register for the Great Southern Pram Push to #pushforyoungmums between Monday 11th to Sunday 24th February, to help keep young mums and their babies together at Small Steps.

Whether you walk with your friends, dog, pram or by yourself, your steps can make a big difference to each mum at Small Steps.

Register your steps, ask friends and family to sponsor you, and start pushing!

The Small Steps Story:

Small Steps provides self-contained accommodation for 11 young mums under 25 years old and their babies, who are at risk of being separated typically due to a lack of appropriate accommodation or support.

Each mum is taught skills that can assist them in living independently in the community, such as budgeting, maintaining a stable tenancy, and providing a safe and healthy environment for their child.

Since its establishment in June 2014, Small Steps has provided assistance to over 40 mums, with many moving onto independent living, whilst successfully completing studies or employment.

Small Steps receives no on-going government funding, and therefore only operates through the generous donations from the community.

Can I register as a group?

Yes, you can! Whether it is a group of friends, family or colleagues, you can register as a team and work together to reach your goal. Simply select “Create a Team” during the registration process and invite your team members to join.

Are there group opportunities to help me get more steps?

Yes, we will be holding a number of walking-meet-up opportunities throughout the fortnight, to help us achieve our goals together. Visit our Facebook page to find out times and locations.

How can I connect with other participants?

We have a Facebook group for participants to connect and talk about their experiences. We will also be posting sponsor exclusive offers and tips & tricks. Join the group here.
